7S has great resources for group events.
Our spacious lodge sits on a wooded hillside overlooking the spring-fed pond. The quiet verdant backdrop makes it an excellent location for small group retreats, but the building is sizable enough to accommodate larger functions such as company meetings and reunions. The two story lodge has a catering kitchen, restrooms and showers, a large central fireplace, picnic tables, rocking chairs and porch swings, and views to write home about.
7S has three main campsites with picnic shelters, running water, and fire pits. Our cabin site includes seven Adirondack cabins (open on one side), a refrigerator, a shelter with a grill and picnic tables, a hot shower room, and an outhouse. Our tent site has nine raised platforms that can accommodate a mulit-person tent or two, a refrigerator, a shelter with a grill and picnic tables, a hot shower room, and an outhouse. Our wagon site has four "Conestoga wagons" with six bunks each, a shelter with a grill and picnic tables, and flush toilets. Our fourth, more primitive, campsite is tucked into the woods and has a fire pit. Other camping opportunities can be tailored to fit group needs.
Seven natural springs feed the two acre pond. Spending an evening relaxing with a fishing pole by the water's edge or cruising around in a paddle boat or canoe are great ways to spend time with your family and friends. We practice catch and release with all of our pond critters and expect that from our guests as well. Swimming and all pond related activities on the water must be supervised by a certified lifeguard.
Trails & Woods
7S has about a mile of trails through a hundred year old hardwood forest which weave in and out of our spring heads, along our neighbor's pasture, and through a pine grove with creeping ground ceder (Lycopodium digitatum.) Our trees and forest are our pride and joy, and we are thankful to be their stewards. We would love to share the rich diversity of native flora and fauna with you.
Many a game of tag and capture the flag have been played on the 7S recreation field. This versatile three acre space is large enough for a football or soccer game and can serve as a tent-camping sight, an overflow parking area, or a great place to lay out a blanket and watch the stars.
